HabitArc Privacy Policy
Effective September 5, 2026
This policy explains what HabitArc stores, why it is used, and how you can delete it. HabitArc is offline-first: everything works without an account.
Information you provide
HabitArc stores the habits you create and their titles, icons, colours, tracking mode, targets, units, schedules, reminder times, check-ins, quantities, focus-timer sessions and notes. This content is written to your device. It is copied to a private per-user document in Google Firebase Cloud Firestore only if you are a HabitArc Pro user and turn Firebase sync on in Settings.
Without cloud backup, HabitArc never sends your habit content off the device.
Accounts
HabitArc has no sign-up. When cloud backup is enabled, Firebase creates a random anonymous identifier for your device. You may optionally link Sign in with Apple so the same backup can be restored on another device; in that case HabitArc receives the Apple account identifier and, if you choose to share them, your name and email address. Apple's Hide My Email is supported.
Apple Health
If you connect Apple Health, HabitArc reads only the metrics needed by the habits you created: step count, water, mindful minutes, exercise minutes and sleep. These values are read on demand, converted into progress for the matching habit, and are not sent to any advertising or analytics service. If cloud backup is on, the resulting habit progress is stored in your private Firebase document like any other check-in. HabitArc writes to Health only when you explicitly enable a write-enabled habit automation. You can revoke Health access at any time in the iOS Health app.
Device and preference data
Interface language, accent theme, reminder, haptic and onboarding preferences are stored on your device and mirrored into the app group so the widgets and the Apple Watch app can display the same information. Notification requests contain the habit title and schedule that iOS needs to show the reminder. HabitArc does not collect contacts, precise location, photos, microphone audio or advertising identifiers.
Purchases
Apple processes payments. RevenueCat receives purchase information and a pseudonymous app-user identifier so HabitArc can unlock and restore Pro. Neither Apple nor RevenueCat receives your habit content for this purpose.
How information is used and shared
Information is used only to run the app: tracking, streaks, reminders, insights, cloud backup, customer support and paid features. HabitArc does not sell personal information, does not display third-party advertising, does not use an analytics SDK and does not perform cross-app tracking.
Service providers process limited information on our behalf: Google Firebase for anonymous authentication and backup, Apple for Sign in with Apple when you choose it, and Apple and RevenueCat for purchases. Their handling of information is also governed by their own privacy policies.
Retention and deletion
Your data remains until you delete it. Delete a habit and its history in Settings → Manage habits. Deleting the app removes all local data, the widget snapshot and scheduled reminders. If you enabled cloud backup, turning Firebase sync off stops further uploads; to have the stored backup document deleted, email khoev113@gmail.com and we will delete it and the associated Firebase Authentication account. Apple and RevenueCat may retain transaction records where required for accounting, fraud prevention, purchase restoration or legal compliance.
Security and children
HabitArc uses platform authentication and encrypted network connections, and Firebase security rules restrict each backup document to the account that created it. No service can guarantee absolute security. HabitArc is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.
Your choices
You can use HabitArc entirely offline, leave cloud backup off, decline or revoke Health access, turn notifications off in iOS Settings, export your history as CSV, and delete habits or the app at any time.
Changes
We may update this policy when HabitArc changes. The effective date above identifies the latest version.
